Can you stop moving your head when you're talking? Tech demos that have excessive movement do not get as many views and you're barely explaining aspects in terms of user experience

I don't wanna lose that further away mode because I sideload a lot of android apps that open up in the shape of mobile phone. If I use the dirther away mode, I can actually resize the window and I can't do that with the tablet mode

I would like meta to enable the use of the tracking cameras so we can see in the dark using infared lights. Like on the quest 2. For those who want to use their quests at night but not disturb everyone by turning on lights.

All I want is for the social window not to appear on the side every time I start up the headset. I'll get to my contacts myself whenever I need to.

The only feature i would really like to see is the Browser being able to run over top of any game you play. For example having a RUclips or twitch stream play on top of your game or have it used as a chat overlay if you natively stream quest content..

They need to make a Quest 3 OLED. I don’t care if it’s $200 more expensive or even $400 more expensive, OLED is absolutely necessary. The Quest 3 does not come close to matching the original Quest in terms of colors and contrast. No OLED headsets on the market makes the PSVR2 look more inviting by the day…

It still needs a bit of work. The way you have to throw windows away from you, or pull them closer, feels extremely imprecise. It's jarring when you want to move the window just a little bit towards you and it just lurches right into your face. There's also a bunch of bugs regarding resizing windows playing video - it's like the player in the browser doesn't resize to match the virtual screen size. So sometimes when you shrink the screen, you just end up seeing part of a video for example. Overall though, it's great stuff and a massive improvement over what we had. Now we just need dimmable passthrough with ambient lighting based on the content. 🙂👍

I'm not sure what makes this update special. But one thing I discovered recently was being able to read 3d movies off a jump drive within Skybox VR. That's my favorite update I have experienced yet.

Another reason not to bother upgrading to a Quest3 from my Quest2. Now if I could link my Quest 2 to my X-Box and play VR games then I'd be all in. Nearly two years on from when I got my Quest 2 and other than Beat Saber and Warplanes, the games are pretty uninspiring, just teenager trash and 1st person shooters, Astra looks good but where are the original creative games, 3D board games, nothing?

Productivity in apps like Gravity Sketch desperately needs multitask support for the browser. I can't stress enough how important it is to be able to browse reference while making digital art. Or even just watching a tutorial or something. This is vital for parity with the desktop experience in creative industries.

Rather than copying apple, it feels like we're finally getting a continuation of what they were doing with the Rift CV1.

It focuses on software because it has become like Google Android, which gives software to companies to use for both games and app.

Thank you Tyriel for the newest changes in V67 .. i am very surprised that they already work on the next Firmwareversion but hey .. as long as it makes the final product better it´s all good ... I love the fact that buying the Meta Quest 3 VR headset was a very good choice and i am very happy about all the features which are implemented. Keep up your work Tyriel ! But please , please , please DO NOT MOVE your head so much left and right and up and down while demonstrating things ... the viewer is having a very bad time during watching that shaky video ... remember we are not in VR where your head movements are very natural ! You have to move your head much slower ( also your controllers ) and the same is valid what you do with the windows ( changing position, changing size, etc. ) That way your videos will be much more enjoyable ! I couldn't care less about all these new quality of life features, which I don't need. I need better games. Yes, we can all say that Batman and Alien are on the horizon, but come on - we are still stuck in shovelware limbo, most of the time.

My Quest 3 was working fine earlier in the day and I put it down without shutting it down for several hours. When I came to wake it back up it had to be factory reset to get it to boot - despite being in the PTC, I haven't had any issues till now. On the plus side, after the faff of reinstalling everything, it at least had V67 on it. It is nice being able to move the windows around now, goes nicely with the recent update to Virtual Desktop allowing 3 monitors. So, some progress towards 'spatial computing'. I was really looking forward to the MR anchor ability at launch, so I hope the redesign of that is good and doesn't take too long

its unbeliavable that the spatial app is superior to this, ok its a test but cmon max 3 undocked windows... no damn android store on it...

Question: with all the windows you setup and spaced them out - Does the Quest 3 remember that setup when if I would shut off the device and power it back up???? Haven't played with that stuff yet, too much into gaming setups. I just got V66 last night since I don't choose beta or developer mode right now. So I am learning V66 to see what it can do. Here's the problem , it's not MULTI APP WINDOWS, except for Browser and Menus... Quest doesn't have the same apps as vision pro. Also, it does it always remember the placement of where you position the windows, even after taking off the headset?

Why do I have to factory reset my quest if I get out of PTC?

It had been cool if Meta could use the scanned room, for now it can auto detect things and it had been neat to let some windows snap to Windows, doors or outlined art.

facebook sure loves repackaging old headset features as experimental new ones

I want the ability to record 3d videos and then playback them with ease. Some have done this already with the dev kit software, that is too much work. It needs to be baked in.
